The next meeting of the Executive will be held in Pecs, Hungary between 9- 12 March.

Because of the Elections in Hungary the next Executive will be held between 9 March and 12 March 2006. Please make a note in your diary.

Archway Meeting. Malta.

The next Archway meeting is being held in Valetta from 31 Oct to 3 November. The topic is transport. The Archway project now has a website. http://www.chester.gov.uk/archway-interreg/

Last week 6 to 8 October Archway participants met in Spain to further the Archway project.

The subject of discussion was 'Spatial Planning. Delegates came tired but satisfied that the meetings had been very successful

The particpating towns had a very successful conference in Valetta on Tuesday on the transport component of Archway. Maud Duffie will be posting some of the headline conclusions on the Archway pages of the WTFC site shortly. Maud is also developing a site specifically reserved for the pjoect.

World Walled Town 2005

Today I am speaking to children at St. Thomas of Canterbury School about the 'Chester Walls Project'. This is the SEEN project that Chris Lines reported on at the Symposium in s'-Hertogenbosch. The children will be doing research on the Walls and considering how we might make them more accessible for people who are disabled, elderly or who have sight difficulties.
32 children from ages 10 to 12 will be involved. Later another school, Dorin Park will be involved. At the moment they are on holiday.

Just back from 's-Hertogenbosch. A very successful Symposium. I promised I would set up a blog when I returned to Chester. This is my first attempt and is therefore a test. More later this week.
